How do I use LibKey Nomad to find full text articles?

Answer

Once you have installed the LibKey Nomad browser extension, when you visit a website with academic articles, LibKey Nomad will automatically check if you have access to them (through the library or open access) and provide a button linking to the article.

When viewing an article page (e.g. a publisher page or PubMed record), click on the LibKey Nomad button. The button will look a little different depending on the article's availability:

LibKey Nomad "Download PDF" button

This button links directly to a PDF article

LibKey Nomad "Article Link" button

This button links to an online article

LibKey Nomad "Access Options" button

This button indicates the library does not provide access to an article.  The button leads to a landing page with a link to  "Request a Scan of this Article" via Interlibrary Loan. If you don't see this link, log in to your library account in the upper right corner.

Compatibility:

LibKey Nomad only works for publications with a DOI and is currently configured to work only with selected scholarly websites.

Compatible websites and databases include PubMed, Embase, and Covidence.
