How do I share an Endnote library or group with someone?
Answer
There are several ways to share a library or group.
If you wish to share a static copy of a library or group (i.e. any changes the recipient makes to the library on their computer will not be reflected in your copy of the library), you can share a compressed Endnote file with them via email or a cloud server, such as OneDrive.
To create a compressed library:
- With your library open, go to the File menu, and select Compress Library (.enlx)…
- In the pop-up window, review and adjust the options as desired.
- Click OK and save the file to a location of your choice.
To actively collaborate with someone on a library/group, you have a few options which are explained on our Endnote 21 for Mac and Windows GalterGuides, linked below.
