I live nearby or am visiting Chicago, can I come and use the library?

Answer

Access to Galter Library is limited to the faculty, staff, residents/fellows, and students of Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. The library is not open to the general public.

Staff who work at Lurie Children's, Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, Lake Forest Hospital, or other Northwestern Medicine locations and physicians without a Feinberg School of Medicine faculty appointment do not have access to Galter Library.

You can learn more about the types of access on our Library Access page.
